Indian Summer

Indian Summer is what they call the weather we've been having. I call it fabulous because I get to be outside! What a fun week I had. I went on lots of walks outside the stroller. I can walk for blocks and blocks without getting a bit tired. I pick up all the sticks and hand them to mom to throw along the street in the leaf piles. I also love to run through the leaves so I can hear them CRUNCH!!!!

I don't mind lying in the leaf piles either:)

Here I am playing in the parking lot of AAA, down the street from my house. It was a blast!

Here we are in Grand Haven. What an awesome place...reminded me of summer time. People were boating, fishing, walking along the sandy beach. I so badly wanted to jump in the water. We went there to visit Brook and Chrystal and see their new house. It was fun!

After the sun set we packed up and headed back home. Did I tell you? I say "home" now. I also know where my eyes, ears, nose, and mouth are located. The world and it's happenings continue to amaze me. I am learning so many things each and every day. Very soon I will be letting loose some real sentences. I think I've almost figured out how and when to say things. Stay tuned.
Love to you all.

Dragontales

Hope you all enjoyed your Halloween. I had a fabulous time. I loved my dragon costume and so did everyone else. It was a very busy night. I made stops at all my grandparents' houses and then stayed the night with Grandma Dede and Grandpa Huck. It was lots of fun!

Here are our pumpkins. They are still unmarked by the squirrels. I was trying to show off my muscles and move it. I am pretty strong. Did I tell you I can lift my bike and carry it? I also enjoy picking up the big branches in our yard and throwing them into the street.

Check it out!

My Mom and Dad dressed up too. I think Daddy said he was some cop from Reno 911 and Mommy was a mermaid. I think my dragon was much cooler! Time for bed. Daylight saving time is really throwing me into a whirlwind. I can't seem to adjust. By 7pm, I'm ready to hit the sack!
Much Love,

Brody, P.I.

I love to investigate everything. I spend lots of time in the lazy susan in the kitchen. I love to sort the jars and cans. I make towers out of them, I load them up in my toy dump truck and serve dinner to my friends on my lego table. I sometimes spend an hour playing in this hot spot.

I am mastering my bike. I have pedaled a little bit but still find it much faster to move by pushing off with my feet. There are some small hills on my sidewalk. I love to go really fast down those hills. I even say "Wheee!!!"

I'm a clown too. I love to make people laugh. I have begun to copy lots of things people say and do. Be careful...I am always paying attention even when you don't think I'm listening or understanding. I say "Hey Baby!" in a Fat Albert voice. It's funny.

Here I am helping mom plant bulbs for next spring. We planted daffodils and tulips. They will be pretty I'm sure as long as the squirrels don't eat them. Our squirrels are crazy in our yard. They have devoured some of our pumpkins and they neighbor's too. By the way...this weekend is Halloween. I can't wait to show you how cool I look in my costume. Mom and Dad are dressing up too. I'll include some pics in next weeks posting.

Bye bye!

Sounds of Fall

I know the leaves are starting to fall, but this weather sure doesn't feel like fall!  I must say that I enjoy this weather though.  It gives me a chance to get back outside and enjoy what I love most and that is hanging out and doing fun things outside.  I have found much fun in playing in leaves.  I like the sound they make when I step on them or jump in them.  Crunch,Crunch,Crunch!

We had a chance to take Ella and Olivia to the Chelsea Tree House for much needed running and screaming.  They had a blast as we played in the balls, built castles and slid down the slides.  I love that place!

Making a wish!

I am continuing to say new word or sounds if you will.  I said Poppi and Gama just the other day to add to my list.  I am what you would call an explorer.  I love to go on adventures and find new things and see new sights.  I am still working on peddling my bike.  I still just scoot around in it by pushing off with my feet for right now though.  Congrats to my Dadda who just finished his first masters class.  He told me he will be done with this late night class stuff in another 16 months.

Enjoy the warm break in the weather!  I know I am.

Fall Frenzy

The pumpkins are in full force now. My Mom, Grandma Deed and Grandpa Uck took me to the farm to pick out some pumpkins right out of the patch. I also got to feed chickens and cows. I even got to pick out freshly layed eggs from the chicken coop. I love to eat eggs for breakfast and nothing's better than farm-fresh eggs. It was a blast! Following the farm field trip I got to go to the Treehouse to play with Dawson and Isabelle- Mommy's friend Jen's kids. It was, of course, a great time.

I ended my day at the farm at The Parlour. I had a fabulous hot fudge ice cream cake. All I could say was "Mmmmmm..."

My Uncle Mike is crazy. I love to wrestle with him though. Even though we don't get to hang out much, I try and make the best of it. We had Uncle Mike, Aunt Heidi, Ella and Olivia over to celebrate Grandma Dede's birthday and also a belated party for Ella. We had yummy soup in bread bowls and fruit pizza. MY FAVORITE! Ella and I had a blast in my tunnel. See...

I keep forgetting to tell you all...I sleep at night now!!! It only took me 16 months to figure it out but I finally hit the sack at 8pm-ish and wake up around 730am the next morning. I mostly sleep in my bed too. Mom usually rocks me for a little while, then we lie on pillows on the floor and I pass out. Then somehow, I end up in my cozy bed. Oh...I also forgot to tell you, we converted my crib to a toddler bed now. I feel so cool. So grown up!

I am really getting the hang of the talking thing too! I say some new words like: truck, happy, peepee, poopee, and DeDe. I often mimick things people say. I especially like to copy their laughs. It always makes everyone crack up.

Stay warm!

I love the OUTDOORS!

I love to be outside. The weather makes no difference to me. I like to be out rain or shine, cold or hot. I don't think my parents feel the same way but I am determined to convince them. It was really cool the other day. We went for a long walk to Ella Sharp playground. It was so fun! I got to run and run all over the place. We found these cool apple, ball-looking things on the ground. Of course I kept picking them up and throwing them. As I mentioned before, the weather has little effect on whether I like to wear socks or not too. I love to be barefoot and take the opportunity whenever possible.

Dad tells me I am growing up into a big boy. I think he likes that I am now sleeping well at night, enjoy watching the big games with him on TV and have learned that playing on my own is fun. I don't always have to have someone right with me to have a great time. I have been showing my mom and dad that I know how to do chores too. I often times throw away my own diaper, I help put the pillows on the bed each morning, I flush the toilet, I brush my hair and teeth and I love to vacuum. Oh...I pick up sticks in the yard too. I love to be a good helper.

Happy Birthday to Grandma Dede! Can't wait to see Ella and Olivia this week!
Have a great week friends.

Flavors of Fall

Nothing better than celebrating birthdays....even better when they're belated celebrations. Dad and I are snacking on fabulous strawberry cake that Grandma Dede made for Mom's birthday dinner. Love the strawbies!

I got a hold of the camera the other day. Here are a couple pictures I took all by myself. Wrigley loves the camera...can't you tell?

We made our first visit to the orchard this past weekend. The weather was perfect, the animals were thrilled to have me poke at them and of course...the doughnuts were YUMMMMM MMMYY or I like to say "Mommmmyyyy" about everything these days. I decided to retire the word "ball" for a while and just say "Mommmyyy" instead. I may have said Mommy nearly 500 times on Sunday. I lost track after saying it so many times. It was hilarious, to me anyways:)

I have almost kicked my nasty cold. No fun having the drippy nose. I guess I can't complain much. I have only been sick a couple times in my life so far. I am very blessed! Did I tell you all how I got to drive??? Here I am going for my first drive in the Hummer. No keys allowed but boy I can imagine the wind blowing through my few hairs and the sun hitting me in the face as I cruise down the street. It won't be long...okay like another 15 years but who's counting.

Have a good one!
