Peek-a-Boo and Fetch

Happy Monday! I just got back from the doctor's office for my 9 month check-up. All is going great! I am still in the 90th percentile for height at 29 1/2 inches and have slipped into the 50-75th percentile for weight at 21 lbs. 14 oz. Can you believe how slim I'm getting? Haha!

My teeth are really showing off now! See!!!
I have continued my efforts to crawl. It's just not as easy as it looks. I get up in position and rock back and forth but just can't seem to get my hands and legs working together. It will happen soon! I am very determined.

Here I am playing peek-a-boo through the coffee table. I think it's so much fun! Almost as fun as knocking down all the picture frames that sit near our fireplace.

Throwing things is really a good time too. People continue to pick up whatever I throw and it give it back to me and I throw it again. It's kinda like a game of fetch.
Just a picture to show off my sparkly eyes. Mom says they are dangerous. I am still trying to figure out why.

Keep it real.

PHX

Greetings everyone! So sorry I missed last week's posting. I have been traveling once again. This past week I spent time in Phoenix, Arizona visiting Aunt Heidi, Uncle Mike and Cousin Ella. It was so much fun! I am getting to be a pro at the plane thing too.

While away, I sprouted two teeth!!!! Finally, all my gnawing and drooling paid off. I like to show them off by giving my best cheese face impression. It's pretty funny!

I also have changed up my napping routine. There were too many things to do on vacation so we canned the morning nap and just did one longer afternoon nap. I like the new routine.
We went for a bike ride. I wasn't too sure about riding in the cart. I think I need to go a few more times before I really feel safe in there. Ella told me not to be scared but I still was a little bit.

We went to another park one day to feed the ducks. The ducks snacked on popcorn and I tried some grass and leaves. Yum yum!

I visited the Phoenix Zoo. It was so cool. I had been to a zoo before but was too young to appreciate all the animals. This time, I found the gorillas and elephants to be a riot!

Here I am at Pinnacle Peak. This was my very first hiking experience. It was a great time to take in the beauty God has created. Check out the view!

Fresh air does wonders! I even fell asleep on the hike.

Here I am drinking from a drinking fountain for the first time. It's facinating how the water comes to you and all you have to do is open your mouth. WOW! I think I tried this at some place called IKEA?

While in Phoenix I had my 9 month photo shoot at a nearby park. Here are some of the cool pics! A really nice friend of my aunt and uncle took the photos.

It was great to get away for a while but I really missed my daddy and my dog. It was nice to get home and tell them of my travels. We celebrated Valentine's Day together. See, I painted my mom and dad a picture with my handprints.

Oh, for all of those who are wondering...I slept great last night. Went to bed at 715pm and woke up at 745am the next day. It felt GREAT!
So long. Have a great week!

Sleep- not too bad after all

The topic of the week is SLEEP. I have decided that after almost 9 months of getting up every 3 hours during the night and screaming my head off until someone came to my rescue that I would give my wonderful parents a break. They seem to be thrilled with my decision. Though I don't always like going 5 hours without seeing one of them, I am trying to get back to sleep on my own. I'm a big boy now and it's time to get rid of baby-like behaviors.

On top of all that...I have battled a nasty bug called the flu. I was exploding from both ends for two days straight. It was nasty! I have recovered and have begun to pack my bags for my next journey. This time, my travels will take me to the great southwest, Phoenix, AZ. I am going to visit my Uncle Mike, Aunt Heidi and Cousin Ella. I hear it's quite warm so I will be packing my swimsuit. I can't wait to get a head start on my tan.

Check out my new do! My hair is finally long enough to style. What do you think?

Wrigley still thinks he can take me. I try and tell him that I will always win our wrestling matches but he still challenges me. Silly dog!
Have a great week! I will send you my love from Phoenix!
