Rolling, rolling, rolling

I can MOVE!!! Movement is a facinating concept. This past week I finally did it! I rolled across my bedroom floor while playing with my mom. It was really exciting. Now I do it all the time. I tend to roll to the right. I just can't tuck that left arm yet but I'm working on it.

Can you touch your toes to your nose? I can. It's so much fun! Those toes are fun to grab and
play with.

I had my four month check up...actually I'm four and half months now. Doctor Tim said I LOOK GREAT! I am 26 1/2 inches tall and 19 lbs. I still only drink mommy milk but I am very VERY interested in experimenting other foods. Mom and Dad said soon enough I will get to eat big people food- I can't wait!

Have a great week!

Strolling, Sitting, New Friends...

Here's my new buddy Bennett Gaston! He and I are going to be great friends just like our dads. I can't wait to teach him how to spit and blow bubbles. He was a little too sleepy that day to show him how to do cool tricks. Next time...

So this week I got to try out my highchair. It was so cool to see what was going on above the counter in the kitchen. I can't wait to eat the yummy food I see Mommy and Daddy eat- like lasagna and birthday cake. In the meantime, I enjoy playing with cups in my new chair.
I think the seasons are changing. I got to sport some of my cool new sweat outfits and winter hat. I have never seen Fall, but I hear it is a great season. We are going to get pumpkins and play in the leaves. I am not sure what either of those things are yet but it sounds cool.

I am also practicing my sitting up. I can do it for a little bit and then I seem to topple over. I can't seem to get the balancing act down yet. I am continuing to practice rolling over. I really struggle getting my arm tucked so I can roll. Boy, when I do get it tucked I roll fast and furious. What fun!

This is my Grandma Dede and Grandpa Chuck. We went to their house to celebrate Mommy's birthday. I got to sit in a cool chair that my mom sat in when she was little.

I went to my first highschool football game last week. I had a blast watching the game, fans and band. Meeting Emma Hackworth was even more exciting than the game. I tried to hold her hand but I think she's a bit shy. She kept backing away from me. Oh well. I think we will be good friends once we hang out a couple more times.

On Saturday I got to go to Logan's in Lansing with Grandma and Grandpa Parrott. Aunt Wendy was also there. We were celebrating Grandpa's Birthday. It was a blast! Here I am hanging out with the birthday boy.
I had fun on Sunday when Grandma Parrott came over to watch me while the boys golfed. Someday I will be able to go along, but for now I love hanging out with Grandma!

Mom tells me that I have two white spots on my bottom gum. We are counting down the days until my first tooth arrives. Hey look below. This is the first picture I've ever taken. These are my two favorite people in the world. I love my Mommy and Daddy and they love me too!

I want to wish Cousin Ella a happy birthday as she celebrated her 2nd birthday out in Arizona. I did get to call her and sing her a birthday babble. I think she enjoyed talking to me. I can't wait to chase after her!

4 is the magic number

This past week marked my 4 month birthday!!!! Time flies when you're drooling! I have the beginnings of my first tooth. I've been told it can take a while for teeth to fully poke through. My gums tell me I should have teeth anytime. I go visit the doctor next week...stay tuned for my latest stats.

This weekend we were visited by the remnants of Hurricane Ike. WOW!!!! I have never seen so much rain. It was a great weekend to wear PJs until noon and watch college football. I really mean it when I say that I watch football. I love to watch the action!

This is my buddy Jing. His full name is Beijing. Grandma Dede gave him to me to remember the summer Olympics. He makes me laugh when I get my diaper changed.

Mom and I went dancing in the rain this weekend. I heard we had over 8 inches in two days!!!! I really wanted to jump in the puddles but it was a little too cold.

I am loving my new jumper even more this week. I have discovered how high I can really jump and how to press the piano keys to make music. You should hear me squeal when I really get going.

Uncle Steve and Grandpa and Grandma Tucker came over to play this weekend. They really like to hear me yell and squeal. I put on a great show for them.

That's all for this week. Next week I'll show you pics of my new friend Bennett.
Love,
B

A few of my favorite things...

I am continuing to learn each and every day. There are so many things that seem to get big people excited. I find it fun to watch them smile and clap when I do silly things. I have found it quite entertaining to copy noises and faces people make- they get a kick out of it too! Blowing spit bubbles has become one of my favorite things to do along with yelling. If you want to get Mommy and Daddy's attention all you have to do is yell really loud. Haha!

Reading is becoming another one of my favorite activities. I especially like to hit the pages...turning them is a little too difficult still.
Daddy even let me play Tiger Woods Golf video game for a little bit. He says I only get to play for a short bit at a time.

Oh...I think I'm going to have teeth soon. I just can't seem to chew hard enough on my fists. Sometimes I even gag myself. Mommy told me that she sees two white dots on my bottom gum. Boy, that's got to be why my mouth hurts so bad! OUCH.

People may think that boys don't care about clothes but I'm here to say that my most favorite outfits come from Baby Gap. I enjoy going there with Mommy to check out the latest onesies. Can you believe I'm wearing 6-12 month clothes already?!

College football is in full force now. I really like to watch the action...again I get to watch TV for little bits at a time. GO IRISH and GO BLUE!!! Can you be a fan of both? Daddy says I can.

Finally, I wanted to say Happy Birthday to Mommy! We had a blast going to Lansing to eat at Mongolian BBQ and then shopping a little bit at a nearby mall.

Love to all my blog fans!

Last week with Daddy

This is the week where daddy goes back to school. I will miss our days home together. We became good buds and I really liked spending time with him. The plus side is that I will get to see mommy during the week as her job is flexible and lets her stay home with the Brodster.

Blue eyes anyone!
This past week was filled with playing outside, swimming, hanging with Ben Ben and watching Michigan lose their home opener:(

On Sunday I had a great time eating lunch with G and G Dunlap. We got to lay in the tall grass and take photos. I even got to see a praying mantis up close.I also had a chance to show them how good I can be at resisting a nap! I don't think mommy was thrilled with it though.

Brown Jumpsuit!

On Labor Day my daddy took me out to Parma to go and see G and G Parrott. Boy did we have fun! I played with the dogs and and spent good quality time with gramdma and grandpa.

Ohh! I almost forgot to tell you about my new jumping gym I received for being such a good son. My parents know that I have lots of energy and they were looking for a way for me to get it out besides in their arms. And this was the result. I am very pumped about this purchase.
This is for all my skeptics out there who don't belive that I am typing these blogs. How about them apples!
