Baby, Tanta & Shorge

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas. I sure did. I loved celebrating the "Baby" and also got very excited when talking about "Tanta". What fun! We even got some snow to go with it. A couple days before Christmas we went up to Greenville to visit friends of Mommy and Daddy. I vaguely remember them from when I was really little. They were pretty cool.

The night before Christmas Daddy helped me write a note to Tanta. We put the note with his cookies and milk. I think he was impressed with my writing. He ate and drank the entire thing.

Christmas morning with Mommy, Daddy and GiGi. Don't be fooled by my face. I was having a great time. Not too sure why I had to keep opening gifts though. I liked it for a minute but then I just wanted to play with my old stuff.

I'm thinking of starting a band. Want to join? I get to play guitar and keyboard and dance...okay? My most favorite song on the keyboard is some sort of polka. It really gets the crowd dancing and laughing too.

SHORGE!!! I was so glad my Grandma Dede and Grandpa Chuck got me my very own Curious George. Shorgie and I like to cuddle and watch Curious George on TV. Even Wrigley knows to stay away from this stuffed animal. He is special.

I got a sled too. Not sure what sledding is but it sounds like a thrill.

Grandma and Grandma Parrott got me my first car. I'm pretty comfortable behind the wheel. With a little more practice I will really get going fast. For now, I like others to push me around.

I also got a new train table. I LOVE to play with my cars and choo choos on it. It's been entertainment for hours already.

So I know how to respond to questions a little bit. My parents will ask me if I like something and I say yes or no. I'm also learning manners. I usually say thank you when someone gives me something. I'm still working on the please thing. I tend to be a little impatient when it comes to wanting things. I usually get a little frustrated. I am trying to figure out how to channel my frustrations. Boy, it's tough growing up. I got so irritated the other night at dinner that I threw some of my dinner on Wrigley. That was a bad choice. I got in some deep trouble and then went to bed early. Mom and Dad knew...I was tired.
Well stay tuned..my dad put down a new tile floor in my bathroom. It's pretty snazzy! Pics to follow next week.
I know I'm definitely blessed by my family. I hope you all feel blessed and loved by yours.
Happy New Year!

Uh Oh!

Uh oh...snow is messy. I didn't know how to handle the white stuff on my boots. Then, when Mom and Dad told me I could sit in it, I was really perplexed. I guess when you wear snowpants, coats, hats and mittens you can roll around in the snow and it's okay. Kinda cool!

Dad and I are shoveling the sidewalk. Dad says he's not a fan of shoveling but when you live in the city you HAVE to shovel your sidewalk or you pay a fine. I can't wait to get to shovel. I think throwing the snow is FUN!

I really like "stickies". I often put them in my mouth for some reason. Here I am making a sticker collage and having a couple for a snack.

Only 4 more days till Christmas. Are you all as excited as I am? Can't wait to share with you all my happenings. Oh, I got to make Christmas cookies this past weekend. YUM! I ate some cookie dough, it was tasty.
Ho! Ho! Ho! That's what I say when people talk about Santa.
Merry Christmas,
Brody

Belated Posting

Hey everyone! Sorry for the delay in my postings these past few weeks. It's been super busy with Christmas right around the corner, basketball season starting up and all sorts of other happenings. There's been no time to blog!

Anyway, no pics this week. I will have some next week. I have been plugging away at my vocab. You ask me to say something...I say it. I'm much like my name...parrott (oops) I mean parrot. I have also been mastering my puzzles, my reading, my shooting baskets, and my household chores. Did I tell you that I get to feed the dog sometimes? I do really well at it and I know it helps out my mom and dad.

Christmas is coming. I can't wait to see what "Tanta" leaves at my house. I think a scooter may show up at my house or maybe even some "Shorge" books or DVDs. I love to watch Curious Shorge these days. It stinks that he's only on at certain times. With a DVD, I can watch him whenever I want.

Enough about me. Christmas is about "Baby". I say good morning and good night to Baby Jesus who sits on our bookshelf with our nativity scene. I like the baby and I've been told he is the reason for the season. Cool!

Hope you all are enjoying your moments. Don't fret, just enjoy the ones you love:)

Love,
Brody

Santa Baby

"Ho ho ho!" That's how you talk Santa language. I got to visit with Santa last weekend. He always makes me crack up. I did so well at my mom's work Christmas party that they asked to use the picture of Santa and I for an advertisement next season. My modeling career is beginning to take off!

I got to see the Michigan Theater for the first time. It was a pretty neat place.

Just goofing around! I really like to be silly. As you can see...

This week I learned how to say a few more things. I said "Thank you Mommy" after she helped me get some tupperware out of the drawer. She looked shocked that I said it. Along with learning how to say more words, I am learning how to follow directions. When I'm asked to put away my toys, I pick them up. When I am asked to pick out a book to read, I grab one of my favorites from the shelf. It's fun to follow directions- most of the time. My dad's basketball season began this past week. I had a blast going to watch the "ball" and the "kids". Those bleachers make awesome roadways for my truck and my new bus.

Enjoy the snow! Bundle up...it's "Brrr" out there.

Simon Says...

Thanksgiving was fabulous once again. I ate like a champ, played hard, and took a nap. Couldn't ask for better. I love to run down the hills at Gamma and Poppy's house. Check me out below! I also love to play Simon Says- I guess that's what it's called when you repeat everything you hear or are told. I can pretty much say any word that I'm asked to say. It may sound a little jumbled but I know what I'm saying.

I really like my Aunt Weny. I don't really say the "d" but she knows what I mean. I learned her name by visiting the restaurant Wendy's. After I put everything together, it was easy.

Cousin Jeff and Uncle Steven and I played cards at Thanksgiving. I love to shuffle the cards! I also had a blast dancing to the beat of Grandpa Steve's guitar. Check out my video on the blog (when it decides to work). It's hilarious!!!

The day after Turkey Day I went to the zoo. It was cool to go to the zoo in the dark. They had all sorts of lights. Here I am pretending to be a lion. "Grrrrrr!!!!"

I even got to see Santa and the Mrs. at the zoo. They were nice and gave me a candy cane. I also go to make a Christmas cookie and a snowman ornament. What a blast!

Hope you are enjoying the pretty "hot" (aka- lights) on people's houses. I think people should light up their yards year round. It is so pretty to look at.

Love you all.

1 1/2 Year Old Check Up

Went to see Dr. Tim today for my 18 month check-up. I am currently 34 inches tall and weigh 27 lbs. 14 oz. I am in the 50-75th percentile for weight and the 90th percentile for height. He says I am on target with all the skills an 18 month old should have. I can run, jump, use a fork and spoon to eat, say more than 10 words and eat all kinds of food.

He told me to stay healthy and I plan on it! I don't want to miss the upcoming holidays. Boy, I can taste the turkey and pumpkin pie already. Yummm!

New Do, New Words

I got my hair cut! Yep, no more shag around the ears or comb over. My dad took care of it with his clippers. I did pretty well for my first time. The clippers kinda tickled. Here is my before shot. I even said "haircut" in preparation of the event.

Gotta love my straggly- looking locks:)

Ta Da!!!! Mom and Dad think I look much more mature. I would agree with that. In fact I have really begun to talk. I say "doggie", "work", "shoes", "Wendy", "hat" and many more. I can recite all the animals on the farm noises like "quack quack", "moo", "ruff ruff", "meow", and much more. You name it... I can impersonate it. I also know my body. You ask me where my eyes, chin, hair, toes, belly, etc are and I will point to each part.

I love electronics, especially the computer. I love to look at old pictures of me and old videos too. I think I'm totally hilarious.

Thank God I have remained healthy this fall. So many people have been really sick. It's too bad. As long as I eat my broccoli, take my naps and keep my hat on outside I think I will stay pretty healthy.

Indian Summer

Indian Summer is what they call the weather we've been having. I call it fabulous because I get to be outside! What a fun week I had. I went on lots of walks outside the stroller. I can walk for blocks and blocks without getting a bit tired. I pick up all the sticks and hand them to mom to throw along the street in the leaf piles. I also love to run through the leaves so I can hear them CRUNCH!!!!

I don't mind lying in the leaf piles either:)

Here I am playing in the parking lot of AAA, down the street from my house. It was a blast!

Here we are in Grand Haven. What an awesome place...reminded me of summer time. People were boating, fishing, walking along the sandy beach. I so badly wanted to jump in the water. We went there to visit Brook and Chrystal and see their new house. It was fun!

After the sun set we packed up and headed back home. Did I tell you? I say "home" now. I also know where my eyes, ears, nose, and mouth are located. The world and it's happenings continue to amaze me. I am learning so many things each and every day. Very soon I will be letting loose some real sentences. I think I've almost figured out how and when to say things. Stay tuned.
Love to you all.

Dragontales

Hope you all enjoyed your Halloween. I had a fabulous time. I loved my dragon costume and so did everyone else. It was a very busy night. I made stops at all my grandparents' houses and then stayed the night with Grandma Dede and Grandpa Huck. It was lots of fun!

Here are our pumpkins. They are still unmarked by the squirrels. I was trying to show off my muscles and move it. I am pretty strong. Did I tell you I can lift my bike and carry it? I also enjoy picking up the big branches in our yard and throwing them into the street.

Check it out!

My Mom and Dad dressed up too. I think Daddy said he was some cop from Reno 911 and Mommy was a mermaid. I think my dragon was much cooler! Time for bed. Daylight saving time is really throwing me into a whirlwind. I can't seem to adjust. By 7pm, I'm ready to hit the sack!
Much Love,

Brody, P.I.

I love to investigate everything. I spend lots of time in the lazy susan in the kitchen. I love to sort the jars and cans. I make towers out of them, I load them up in my toy dump truck and serve dinner to my friends on my lego table. I sometimes spend an hour playing in this hot spot.

I am mastering my bike. I have pedaled a little bit but still find it much faster to move by pushing off with my feet. There are some small hills on my sidewalk. I love to go really fast down those hills. I even say "Wheee!!!"

I'm a clown too. I love to make people laugh. I have begun to copy lots of things people say and do. Be careful...I am always paying attention even when you don't think I'm listening or understanding. I say "Hey Baby!" in a Fat Albert voice. It's funny.

Here I am helping mom plant bulbs for next spring. We planted daffodils and tulips. They will be pretty I'm sure as long as the squirrels don't eat them. Our squirrels are crazy in our yard. They have devoured some of our pumpkins and they neighbor's too. By the way...this weekend is Halloween. I can't wait to show you how cool I look in my costume. Mom and Dad are dressing up too. I'll include some pics in next weeks posting.

Bye bye!
