Back and Better Than Ever

I went on my first date this past week. Her name is Avah Gaston. Though we didn't really speak...I think we both really had fun. Our parents were there and we got to play while they ate. We went to some Buffalo Wing place and then to Maggie Moos. I can't wait to get my hands on some tasty ice cream!!! Yummy.

I did it! I finally said Mama. I decided it was time to make my mom really happy on her anniversary so I said it three times in one day. That was enough for a while. I am saving up saying mama for another rainy day.

My cold is getting better. Boy, it's no fun to have a stuffed up nose and a cough. I finally feel like my energy is coming back now so watch out!

Daddy and I had a fun weekend together while Mommy worked. He really makes me laugh and is teaching me all I need to know about being a college football fan.

I went to the doctor for my 6 month check up. He told me that I was 28 1/2 inches long and weighed 20 lbs. 12 oz. I guess that puts me in the 95% for kids my age. Good news according to Dr. Tim.

Thanksgiving is coming this week. I understand that lots of eating takes place on that day. I wonder if I will get to taste anything?

6 months old and a little under the weather

This past week marked my 6 month birthday! I have discovered so many things since my arrival. Unfortunately with age comes sickness sometimes. I am currently experiencing my first cold. I think my mom and dad worry about me, but I keep telling them with my winning smile and cute giggle that I will be okay.

I continue to enjoy the outdoors. Below you will see the photo shoot of me in Cascades Park. I feel like a movie star!

Learning to speak is one of my goals over the next few months. I continue to babble and notice that when I say "ma" and "da" people get really excited. So, I guess I will continue to work on my vocabulary.
Aunt Wendy came over to play with me. I think she's pretty funny! She always makes me smile.

I also ventured to Kalamazoo with Mom and Dad for a Silpada party. The party was at Kate and Sy Spears' house. I didn't spend much time with the girls but instead went out with Sy and Dad to Babies R Us for an emergency paci run and then we ate at Applebees- one of my favorite places to eat or watch people eat.

Other than that, I have been working on kicking a cold. Not fun to be sick and I'm bound and determined to be back in the saddle soon. I was told that Santa will be in downtown Jackson this Friday. I can't miss that!
Until next time...

More than MILK?

This week I got to experience food, at least that's what my parents tell me it is. It still seems odd to eat from a spoon rather than a bottle, but I'm getting the hang of it. The orange stuff is sweet potato. I think it's pretty tasty. The swallowing thing is a little tricky. Sometimes the food ends up on my face instead.

The green stuff is called peas. I really did well with those. They weren't so rich like the potatoes. I could swallow and keep them in pretty well.

I'm really a big fan of grapes- at least the juice from them is pretty good. I also have tried yogurt and a little applesauce. I still think the peas went down best. This food thing is pretty fun and a little scary. I never know what's next but I hope I like it!
Daddy has been working with me on my crawling. I can push off his hands all the way across the room. All I need to learn to do is to get up on my knees. I don't think it will be long. I love to move!

Bundle up out there! I think season called Winter is quickly approaching. I am determined to get through this season without getting sick. Are you up for the challenge?

Happy Week!

Monkeying Around

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!! Thanks Marcie for my pumpkin outfit. I am told the backside of this get up is the best part:).

This week was really fun at my house! I got to play outside in the leaves, see fire in the fireplace for the first time and sit on my daddy's shoulders. Now that I can sit pretty well, Daddy said I could ride on his shoulders all the time.

As you can see, I dressed up like a monkey for my first Halloween. Everyone said it was cute, I thought it was hot and that belly got in my way. Oh well, it made my grandparents smile. It was really cool, I got to see all 6 of them in one night!!

Grandma Dede and Grandpa Chuck made me a mouse out of an acorn squash (yum) and also gave a card with monies to help pay for college (that's what my parents tell me).

Grandpa and Grandma Parrott stopped by with a cool bag of goodies. I got a new chew toy, some yummy baby food, and a book!

Grandma and Grandpa Tucker were HILARIOUS! They introduced me to the REAL magic pumpkin. I wasn't afraid, I thought he was cool.

Three Musketeers! I think Wrigley felt left out.

I really enjoyed getting to play in the leaves. They crunch when you sit in them! Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Parrott came over and watched me play. They also brought me a pumpkin filled with cool stuff.

I ended my exciting week at Roxy Cafe with Mommy and her friends. I love going there! Everyone always smiles and talks to me. I feel like a movie star when I'm there to eat breakfast.

Time for bed!

Good night bloggers.
