Swing for the Fences!

I love to play outside! The more I'm out, the less I want to go in. Mom and I took a walk to Betsy Butterfield Park this past weekend. There was a bullfrog in the pond there. He made lots of noise. Every time he sang out, his throat would bubble. It was cool!

I think slides are much more fun to crawl up then to slide down.

Here I am swinging! It was a blast!

Dandelions are sprouting everywhere. Besides being pretty, they taste good too! Mom didn't think I should snack on them but I'm too quick for her sometimes.

My most favorite thing- walking!!! I walk with help of course. I like to walk barefoot on grass, sidewalks, decks, even rocky surfaces. Not much bothers me as long as I'm moving and outside.

You caught me in my birthday suit! After bath, I sometimes get to watch a show. Just so happens the Tigers were on! All I could say was "BALL, BALL!!!!". I love spring time.

Since the addition of a few more teeth, I have learned the importance of brushing them. I think it's pretty fun and the toothpaste tastes GREAT!

Have a good one!

#50

This week marks the 50th blog posting! Time flies when you're growing up and getting more teeth...OUCH! I don't think big people understand what kind of pain us little guys go through when these things called teeth rip through our sore gums. It's terrible! Why do they always seem to come in pairs too! Double the drool, double the pain! So I now have two bottom teeth, two big beaver teeth up top and two more teeth coming in on either side of the beaver teeth. I am ready for a little break on the teeth action so I can get some better sleep. My mouth always seems to wake me up at night and nothing helps except having mom or dad hold me.

Spring is springing too. Here I am in the daffodils at Cascades. I really wanted to snack on a petal but my mom wasn't so thrilled with the idea. I thought it might taste better than the piece of tape I tried to eat. I really enjoyed playing outside in the nice weather. I got a head start on my summer tan.

Eating is still one of my favorite past times. I continue to try new and exciting foods all the time. This past week I tried some beef and turkey. It was okay but I much prefer my cheese, veggies, toast and water. Did I mention I have mastered the art of drinking from a straw? It's pretty easy, plus it helps me drink so much more!

I continue to build my vocab by the week. I think this week I mastered the word "duck". I now say mama, dada, hi, bye, ball, and some other words that no one can figure out yet. I like to keep them on the edge of their seats.
Enjoy the sunshine and beauty around us! I sure am.

Easter Eggcitement

Happy Easter bloggers! Once again I am baffled by the traditions that come with these days called holidays. I guess you visit this guy below- they call him the Easter bunny. I thought it was hilarious! You also go to church and celebrate the resurrection of Jesus-pretty cool too! After all of that, you get to hunt for plastic balls (I guess they're called eggs but I prefer to call them balls) that have surprises inside. I also was lucky to get baskets full of fun toys and goodies. Finally, I spent the day with my family eating more food and playing basketball. See the pics below.

Congrats to Cousin Ryan, Courtney and Ben on the arrival of Andrew and Lucas! I can't wait to meet them so I can teach them a few of my favorite tricks.
Adios...

Great Day for UP!

This was a week of new adventures for me. See here, I am standing in my crib! I finally discovered how to pull myself up. Now I can keep watch over my toys in my room during the night and during nap time too.

Again, practicing my standing skills while playing with one of my favorite toys. It's a great toy because I can lean on it when my legs start to give way. When I get really tired of standing I creep over to the wall where my baseball pillow sits and collapse on the padded surface. Brilliant!

This is the lastest and greatest! I can cruise up the entire staircase now. I am getting faster and faster going up but coming back down is a different story. My mom says I cannot turn around and take a flying leap like I prefer. She tells me I have to slide down on my belly. Hmm... not sure that sounds like as much fun as jumping.

My next goal is to figure out this gate. They say it keeps me safe. I think it gets in the way of adventure. In the meantime, it's great fun to hold on to. I also enjoy throwing my toys over it and watching them tumble down the stairs.

Mom and Dad tell me I have developed "attitude". I don't know what they're talking about, do you?

I keep tabs on Wrigley and the squirrels outside. They are pretty fun to watch. I can't believe that dog thinks he's ever going to catch those crazy squirrels, they're way too quick!

I expect to be walking very soon! This past week I gained some courage and stood up by myself for a few seconds before I lost my balance. It was fun and scary all at the same time. We'll see...they say that practice makes perfect!

Happy Easter to you all! Until next time...
